       This specimen consists of light-colored Amber containing

one exquisitely preserved bug;I think its a termite,but who

knows!As can be seen in the third picture,this little creature is

preserved in excellent detail;you can even see the inner parts

 of the body!

Wonderfull piece,measuring 4 cm x 4.6 cm x 1 cm.    $30.00

     At 13.5 cm long,this is a substantial specimen;it has not been

polished,as it had a naturally brilliant finish when I acquired it.

There are many unique features in this piece.As seen in pictures

 1 and 2,it has a chunk of bark adhered to it(left side of photo 1)

and partially covered by the Amber.The next  feature can be

clearly seen in photo 4,what appears to be a complete seed-head;

perhaps associated with the partial blade of plant material seen

in photo 5!Now for the most spectacular(and probably most

controversial)feature of this specimen;have a good look at the

last two photos please.I cannot say with certainty what this

substance is,but I have studied it literally for hours on end with

 high magnification and the only conclusion that I can reach is that

 it is blood!I know,it sounds crazy,but its the only explanation that

 I have for it.This piece deserves serious study to determine
