    Another strange piece of  lightning

struck Oak;actually two separate

pieces,the shaft and the head.

The gnarled,twisted and bent body

or shaft is interesting in itself but

the unique shape of the head-

piece is a real stunner.I'm not sure

why this particular Wand is

fashioned from two different

pieces,but they seem to be a

perfect match like they belong

together.A small stone or Crystal

or sphere could be accomodated

by the head-piece,but the

generator end of the Wand

comes to a natural point,so the

addition of a Crystal  there would

be rather  strange,as well as

difficult to do.The entire piece

is 23.25 inches in length,and

the shaft is about 1 inch in

diameter.It is finished with a

water-based varnish.

  Definitely a unique piece,here

we have a piece of Sweet Gum

wood with a compound twist

at the top;a very unusual

occurence.The compound twist

fades into a single twist and this

section is separated by a few inches

from the final twist.It has a powerful

feeling to it when held in the hand.

This Wand is unfinished;what you see

is the piece with outer and inner bark

removed and the inside of the twists

cleaned out.The first stage of sanding

has been completed as well.The

advantage of an unfinished piece is that

you can have it finished any way you

want;natural or different colored stain,

carving of symbols,choice of hand-

burnishing or different varnishes.

Stones are set at additional charge.

This is a very large Wand,at 28.25

inches and the largest twist having a

diameter of  1.5 inches.It could be

made a little shorter by removing

some of the straight-stock at the top,

but I would not reccomend it,the straight

piece gives the entire Wand balance.

A very beautiful Wand-in-the-making!

   A special piece made of White

Oak,a rather uncommon wood

in this area.The natural twist is

smooth and graceful;almost elegant.

This coupled with a very nice Oak

grain will make a stunning Wand.

It is unfinished,but all stages of the

process have been completed

except staining/varnishing

/burnishing.One or two symbols

could be added without spoiling the

grace of the piece,and Stones,of

course,can be added at extra cost.

This exceptional piece is 20.5 inches

in length,and 1.25 inches across the

widest twist.

You can call it a lightning rod

or a flame Wand,it is both,the

Fire energy in this piece is that

strong!Fashioned from Lightning

-struck Oak,it is a very powerful

Magickal tool;the shaping highly

complimenting its inherent Fire

properties.It has a beautiful

grain pattern,and was sealed

with a water-based varnish.A

Fire stone/Crystal could be added

to the collector  end if desired at

extra cost.The Wand is 18.5 inches

in length and 1.25 inches at the

widest point.There is a clean-

through hole about a third of the

way up from  the point,it can easily

be seen in all three pictures.This

is a natural hole which adds

Magickal significance to the Wand.

It could be used to add small objects

or even small Stones to the piece.

      The Spirit Master is a very special

piece,made from Honey Locust;a

very mysterious wood which lends

itself well to connection with,and

the use of Spirits.The grain pattern

is simply outstanding on this piece,

and it swirls its way from the receptor

end down to about one-fourth of the

distance from the generator end.

Ready for final finishing,I would highly

reccomend the use of very specific

Stones on this piece.At 23 inches in

length,this is a formidable Wand,it

has a commanding presence,even

unfinished!The best type of finishing

for this piece would be to use a very

light-colored  stain and water-based

varnish,or just the varnish by itself.

This would allow the grain pattern to

stand out even more,creating great

dramatic effect visually.
